The Haunted
President Tour is a Historical Look at the Hauntings connected
to Abraham Lincoln and to some of the most famous sites in
Springfield, including Oak Ridge Cemetery, the Springfield
Theatre Center, State Capital, Governor's Mansion and Many More!
This interactive tour is conducted throughout the city by bus
and visitors do get off the bus during the tour to visit some of
the locations first hand. Regular Tours:
$30 Per Person (See Schedule Above)
In addition to the regular tour, we also offer
Extended Tours that begin in Decatur, Illinois (Lincoln's
first Illinois home) and includes Lincoln sites in Macon County,
as well as our Springfield Hauntings with everything included in
our Regular Tour. The Extended Tour picks up at the Avon Theater
in Decatur. Extended Tours: $50 Per Person |
Public Tours:
Haunted President Tours are offered at various times throughout
the year, spring, summer fall and in February, in honor of
Lincoln's birthday. The current schedule can be found above.
Private Tours:
Private Haunted President Tours for groups of 13 people or less
can be booked at a minimum of 2 weeks in advance, based on
availability. Rental of the bus, guide and tour is a flat fee of
$400. |
Do We Give Out a List of the Places
that we Go on the Tour? No, unfortunately, we don't
do that because we always like our guests to be
surprised, plus we often change the tour, so it can occasionally
vary from night to night. We do promise to bring you the most
authentic and historically accurate tour possible because in our
opinion, a good ghost story cannot exist without the
real history behind it! |
 |
Do I need a Credit Card to Make
Reservations?
Yes, all of the tour tickets are sold on a first come / first
served basis, which means that the tickets have to be purchased
in advance, just like tickets for a concert or event. Once you
buy them, they are yours but can be sold to someone else as long
as they check in at the time of the tour with your name. |
Will I be sent tickets in the Mail?
No, when you register online, you will be emailed a confirmation
form, which you can print out and bring to the tour with you. If
registering by telephone, you will only need your name to check
in. Confirmation numbers can be provided upon request. |
